I actually sort by country and do this on the sender's domain:
If "Sender" contains ".com.au" goto Australia
If "Sender" contains ".de" goto Germany
If "Sender" contains ".cz" goto Czech Repulic
If "Sender" contains ".com.ar" goto Argentina
for example.
I have set up filters only for the countries with who I have several
message exchanges per day. The other go into "Inbox". The inbox where I
would use the "unread" flag.
Anyway, feel free to copy this system, but domain names ending on
".net" or ".com" will still have to be sorted manually. Most of the
dot-coms (like the sit-coms <g>) I have to do with are in USA
anyway. I figure, if you receive messages regularly enough from
someone and you want to make a filter, you will have a seperate filter
anyway.
