After much messing around, it seems that you *can* delete history this way BUT the addresses that appear in the drop down are in fact from the address book - which can't be deleted. You need to hit the double down arrow to get the history. TB does not honour the "Add Items to the Instant Address Popup" setting in the Group Properties. Therefore, all address book addresses appear in the drop down. What's more, if the address is a member of multiple address book groups, then it will appear multiple times - each time rendered slightly differently. E.g. David.... 'David....' "'David...'" A single address appearing multiple times makes sense because each group can have its own templets, character set, etc. but there is no indication which address come from which group.
