However, a search without date qualifaction can return many, many message that meet my criteria (Sender, Subject, Text, etc.). So, yes, I could just scan the top of the list of Results, but some searches take forever, e.g., perhaps ten seconds <grin>. Frequently, I do make the extra effort to put in a date qualifier, but it is almost always to use an After date, so a default would help. Leonard -- Leonard S.
