Glad to know there's someone who share the same need. I asked
RITLabs when DBCS would be supported in May when I was evaluating
TB, and Stefan told me it would be in v2. The bad news is, according
to veterans here, v2 has been delayed for quite a while.

What kind of Windows are you using now? English? Japanese? or
Chinese?

I tried TB in Chinese Win98 for a brief period of time, and I could
read/write Chinese email with only minor (Uhhh, some not so minor)
problems. I don't know about Japanese for I removed Japanese support
from my Win98 long before I tried TB due to some problems it caused.
The East Asian language support in Win95/98 is designed as add-on
for IE, and AFAIK software has to use ActiveX control to fully
utilize it. Very few applications do, even MS supports it in only a
few of them. With the proper fonts installed, reading is less a
problem. But writing... I still remember the days with English NT4,
and read/writing Chinese (my main concern) was a nightmare.

Now I'm with English Win2k, and the major reason for switching
(reluctantly at first, for I have an aging computer) aside from
stability issue is its superior *built-in* multi-lingual support.
It's much better now after some tweaking, though some problems still
exist without true DBCS support in TB.
