I haven't noticed the problem you've described Nick^2, but I have
noticed something probably related. I'm going to use my TBUDL folder
as an example, but this happens with all similar folders. I have all
my TBUDL mail filtered into a TBUDL folder. I read my messages with
the focus on the Message list and while reading the preview pane.
When a single new message comes in, it is automatically selected *as
well* as the message that I was reading. This bug has been around
for as long as I can remember.
In terms of layout, I use View -> Split Mode -> Full Height Account
Tree. I should note that this bug occurred even when I was using the
Full Width Preview Pane.
The difference in my bug from yours is that my preview pane keeps the
contents of the original message. Have you noticed if you have
multiple messages selected after new mail comes in? Also, what pane
is in focus when this happens? Does it happen with other panes in
focus at the time of the new mail check?
I'm pretty sure that we're just seeing two different symptoms of the
same bug. Hopefully RITLabs can provide that nice big can of RAID.
