Hello Havivah,
HDS> Views need to be consistently sticky, or not sticky at all.
HDS> To my mind it's more logical to have a view stick to a
HDS> folder, than to have a view stick to a screen (i.e., main
HDS> screen, view message screen, etc.).
I feel like I want to defend the non-sticky-ness of the Folder
view in particular, I find it very useful to be able to set up
two different "views" of a folder, one in Main window and one in
Folder view.
But the difference between Main and Folder view is mainly the
Account (folder) tree. Why not just make it possible to (in an
easy way) hide/unhide the account tree, and there you have it:
full width message list and preview pane with all settings
preserved.
Folder view can then be used to set up alternate views.
Another note on Folder view: shouldn't there be a New message
command?
