Is there a way to "hide" mail folders from the folder tree?

If i create "hidden" folders using Magic Folders, The bat gives a
warning requester saying that "x" folder is not found every time I
start The Bat. This is pretty
annoying. Can i disable this check? However, when I unhide the
folder with Magic Folder, they pop up nicely in the folder tree.

Now, this is my Q: Is there an effective and simple way of hiding and
protecting folders than can sometimes be accessed from within The Bat? I
want to be able move a specific type of emails into specific folder
which I can hide/unhide whenever i want. I use Magic Folders, which is
fine for creating hidden folders, but it doesn't seem to work very well
with The bat folders.
