Some time ago I had the same problem. If I pressed 'Install TB! as the
simple MAPI...' in Options|Preferences|Applications, I got an error
message that the TBMAPI.DLL was not found. But the TBMAPI.DLL was in
the TB! directory.

I had to delete or rename the MAPI32.DLL in my System32 directory in
order to get it working. Maybe that will do the trick for him. I must
mention that TB! will create a new MAPI32.DLL file.
