Hi,

I was really happy to discover some versions ago the synchronize
feature. Basically I am reading my email both on my laptop and on the
home desktop and I would like to have the two setups synchronized.
I usually keep messages on server and I mostly do the reading of messages
manually on both machines (if they are already filter I just mark them
as read, if they are part of the inbox I file them manually in both
places). However, once or twice a week I bring my laptop home, connect
it to the desktop and synchronize the two accounts.

Here are a several suggestions for improvements and questions.

1. First of all, does anyone else use a similar setup? If so do you
have any suggestions as to how to deal better with it? I guess
deleting the emails from server when read will save me the extra
trouble of filing emails on both machines provided I synchronize often
enough, but that's not really the case.

2. Could you add the possibility to synchronize the sorting filters as
well? I would rather set them up in one place (wherever I happen to be
as I need them) and then just update the other machine through
synchronization.

3. Same for templates. Both system, folder and AB.

4. Can the synchronization be executed directly using a network
connection between the two clients? I realize this would mean adding a
whole new functionality and possibility of vulnerabilities to the
client, but... it would be nice. Actually I don't really know how
other mail systems deal with synchronization, but I have a feeling
it's easier than the 3-step process (which is actually a 6-step if you
do it both ways). Also, if there would be a network synchronization
option I could even do it remotely: I leave my laptop at work
connected and I just synchronize with it from home before starting the
new "session".

5. Finally, I remember trying to update the AB using the synchronize
and it didn't seem to work. I didn't look too much into it at the
time, so maybe I was doing something wrong, but I was wondering if it
really works and if so if it includes the AB Templates as well.

Thanks,
Ciprian
