I just checked all the active filters and none of them are set to play any sound. The only filter I have that operates automatically on receipt moves messages from the Inbox to other folders for sorting. But the filters themselves don't have the Play sound action checked off. It's definitely something to do with the receive process but I'll be damned if I can figure out what triggers it. It's very annoying.
