All that I mentioned are effective. It's just a matter of how
knowledgeable you are in how to configure these apps. Kerio Personal
Firewall is the most configurable, but the one with the greatest
demand on the user in terms of knowledge. BID is the easiest for those
not in the know. The others fall in between. If you're interested in
protection that'll work with minimal input on your part then I'd
recommend BID. If you wish to have full control over your firewall's
behaviour then Kerio Personal Firewall is the one.
