If you have NAV's real-time scanner active, then it will alarm when you try to attach an infected file, even if it's a direct drag and drop of an attachment in a message to a new message editor window. The only way you could bypass this is if you receive an infected file that NAV didn't detect, keep it in your mailbox, and then forward the infected message to someone. It's possible that NAV could be updated and then be able to detect the virus in the interim. It would then be able to detect the virus when you try to send the infected message at a later date. If you think you could be vulnerable to this sort of scenario then I'd recommend it. This will not happen at my end since I don't send files to people that I haven't verified as not being infected. This means that the file was created by me, has been safely used by me, or is a safe filetype. You have to look at your situation and decide for yourself. - -- -=] allie_M [=- {List Moderator} MUA: TB! v1.63 Beta/5 ___ OS: WinXP Pro (SP1) - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: My Public Keys - http://www.ac-martin.com/pgpkeys.html iD8DBQE+NfpjV8nrYCsHF+IRAjYyAJ0YiocUzLUGl1TqMAO9+viWcpb7wQCg5jqB JyBEWnGy63qWriQrUOU2ZdY= =bDMI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
