Well there's only one way of finding out, so I took the plunge and installed V2. The scheduler (not mentioned on the Ritlabs website at all) is nice, as is the new editor. I was hoping I'd be able to use an external editor of my choice but unless it's a well-hidden feature it seems that's not possible yet.
