After a bit more experimentation, I discovered these didn't show in all exported messages. The ones that had the characters in them were several years old and had been through the export/import wringer a few times. A couple of years ago, while experimenting with Linux on my desktop, I tried out several mail clients. I suspect those older messages that had gotten imported/exported a few times picked up these characters somewhere along that process. At any rate, they don't display when viewing in TB (or Mozilla Mail), only in the exported mbox formatted messages. As long as they don't display again if I ever need to import them in the future, it will be ok. Thanks again. -- Chris Montgomery ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.01.3 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
