I believe that the spammers already have this capability. The majority
of the spam I receive claims to be generated with Outlook or Outlook
Express. Perhaps they prefer an email client more HTML oriented.

As The Bat! is already considered by some as a spammer's tool (url
below) I really don't think that it makes a difference. I just wonder
why Outlook or OE isn't considered in the same category.

In any event, filtering spam based on x-mailer or user-agent headers
isn't an effective way to combat spam. Perhaps if more email clients
allowed x-mailer "adjustments" this ridiculous banning based solely on
email client used would be eliminated.
