IMO, it's only relationship with BSOD's is that it needs to use/access
the problem part of the system and as a result the BSOD's occur. You
then incorrectly blame it for being the cause of the problem when all
it's doing is showing up the problem.
It doesn't even matter if it's not happening with another network
application. When I initially bought this laptop I'm using the BIOS
version and adapter drivers weren't tangoing and I was getting a lot
of BSOD's. It seemed that IE was the application that triggered BSOD's
on most occasions.
Just recently, I had to deal with another bout of mysterious BSOD's
and it seemed to have been secondary to a bad USB hub. I did have to
do a repair install etc since I didn't know the cause and I still had
occasional BSOD's after the repair install. However, the problem
completely vanished after removing the hub.

Yep. I know how you feel. :)
I wouldn't blame TB! though. The problem is still there.

This may work, yes.

How unfortunate. :)

Nothing beats the tranquility of OS stability, *especially* when it's
taken away from you and you've found it again.

This is rather non-specific and was what I got on the second of the
two BSOD periods. Very likely a corrupted driver, a driver
encountering a new situation with its bugginess/incompatibility
surfacing. Lastly it could be bad/defective hardware. Let's hope it's
the software.
JE> But it's hard to believe it's hardware itself.
I'd hope not myself.

Well, things can certainly go bad. I was using the hub for months.

Ok. So it's not a port or something so.
JE> I'd be happy for any advice, or suggestions.
I'd try a restoring to a previously working restore point or doing a
repair installation.
