This is what I did, running v. 1.62 in a situation similar to yours. > Are there any distinct advantages, for my purposes, in having the > latest and greatest version of The Bat? Speaking with complete frankness, I say there are none. I upgraded to v. 2.6 and further within 2.xx to get Smiley and Roguemoticon capability. I upgraded to 3.0 and further to get a simpler, more understandable way to make filters. From 3.0.1.33 on, I have been moving up out of feelings of: 1) Loyalty to a company and e-mail program that have truly done well by me. 2) Curiosity about what will come next. 3) The sense of adventure and community that life as a beta tester for my favorite e-mail program, The Bat!, is giving me. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat! 3.5.27 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
