Well, I understand. However, there's no blame to assign, really. I mean, if an error is made in judging, it's not made of malice. And, the judges volunteer to do a fair bit of work.
I think it's a know your audience thing, and when you write a doc, if you plan on entering it into the competition, consider the judges as part of your audience.
