I don't suppose you want to join the CT chapter, do you? We could use a
Webmaster ... and produce a more active Website ....

Benes ... well ... not sure. What would it take?

Cheers,

I think it's necessary to implant quality at the top (how do you do that
in a professional society? Screen members for competence? I don't know
the answer), particularly in the publications area. What gets published
is often rather embarrassingly written and edited. It would be
appropriate to enter the publications into an STC competition with
highly competent writers and editors as judges (in my dreams).

http://www.stc.org/about/ has many errors, for example, but when I say
publications, I am really speaking of the printed ones. The website's a
lost cause. I've offered to help and I'm supposedly on tap to help when
they get their new site up, but they don't seem to want help with the
current site, which is still profoundly unprofessional.

That's why I'm letting my membership lapse. Why stay in an organization
that demonstrates over and over that it doesn't care about quality?
