And both should be replaced by hztous()/ustohz(). Microseconds allow a time value of ~35 minutes as 32bit signed integer, which should be a safe range for delays. A higher resolution might have its use too, but then you have to assure that such values are always carried in 64bit integers or handled by a structure. There is already a hz2bintime() macro in that realm, which is unsafe (truncates to milliseconds) but AFAIK also unused.
