At least for me IRC is not a preferred way to communicate, especially in
matters like this. It takes some minutes to think about details, do some
research and formulate proper text. Thus I would prefer email and
probably we should keep it on this (or another?) list too. The resulting
text/letter could serve as an example for others.

That's an excellent attitude!
And we should attempt to achieve the same with manufacturers - so that
they treat the people that enable their products with the same respect.


Well then.
I will hopefully try to get a big picture of the situation myself
tonight and then start to write up some sample text for you and this case.

One information is not obvious to me though - You are writing about a
violation of "Vodafone (DE)", do I read this correctly and you mean
Vodafone Germany? But you are not located in Germany, right? Did you
actually buy such a device? If yes, where and from whom?
