It is socially irresponsible to provide something like sudo or ssh for
systems that old and fundamentally vulnerable, without any updates or
any security at all.

You are trying to justify a lot of fuss for systems which are nothing
more than historic toys.

And what if these systems are being used in environments as more than
historic toys?  Arguably you are effectively an accessory to the risks
those operators create to the users of the services they supply, or
the internet at large.

sudo and ssh will not make those systems safe.  They will encourage
bad practice, the worst of all -- running known insecure systems.

I cannot believe that you tie this to yacc creating pre-ANSI C code.
