I tested with the following hardware:
Sony UDA-1 (UACv2)
Schiit Fulla (UACv1)
Initial tests have audio playing great through both.

With the Fulla I get the following output from mixerctl:

But, with the UDA-1 I get an error. Though audio still plays great:
$ mixerctl -v -f /dev/mixer1
