Many thanks to those who answered my query about fonts with 
opusgre. I casually found the solution to the problem reading the 
messages of another thread. The solution was in Dirk Laurie's 
suggestion:

> \documentclass ...
> \input musixtex
> \usepackage{times}

I noticed that the same applies also to 

\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[latin1]{inputenc}

they must be put after \usepackage{opustex} (in my case). The 
position of {\input opusgre} is apparently immaterial.

The text of lyrics uses the font declared (e.g. times in this case).

I can't understand why this happens, but it works...
