According to an archived email Michel Caprace found his typestting source files not mature for publishing. So unfortunately you can't get access to his MusiXTeX code. I've been using and modifying Wayne Cripps lute fonts myself for a few editions containing tablatures, for example some songs from Orazio Vecchi's collection 'Selva di Varia Ricreatione'. My M-Tx and lute font files are publically available.
