Thanks Jean-Pierre. Wouldn't I need ouvrefile.inc and longueur.inc to compile it? I've written a program that fixes the spacing after a score has been partified by suitable re-definition of \vnotes and setting \instrumentnumber1. If anyone is interested, let me know. It's certainly not "complete" but seems to work well for the baroque scores I mainly set. It even accumulates successive whole-bar rests into a multi-bar rest with appropriate adjustment of \barno. See http://imslp.org/wiki/Weihnachts-Oratorium,_BWV_248_(Bach,_Johann_Sebastian)#For_2xAATB_recorders_.28Tennent.29_2 for examples of parts generated from an eight-instrument score and then processed by my spacing-fixing program.
