I wholeheartedly agree. This has been brought up before, and might get slightly better for a while before slipping into boredom again. While I'm sure cavers appreciate the generosity of those who donate prizes, nobody really wants to sit through an hour of giving away bandanas and koozies. I hope that the door prizes can be made exciting and quick. If there are a lot of small prizes, how about combining them so that one person wins several items at once instead of giving away each one individually. Those winners will probably distribute unwanted items to their friends anyway, saving the rest of us the boredom of watching it. Best would be for donors to think about the prizes they offer, and opt for fewer higher quality ones rather than lots of little irrelevant ones. Not as much advertising value, I know, but that's not why we're there. Just my two cents. And I _will_ be there this year! :-) Mark Minton _______________________________________________ Texascavers mailing list Texascavers@texascavers.com http://mail.texascavers.com/mailman/listinfo/texascavers_texascavers.com
