Would it solve the arbitrary ban on all Texas gear if I decided to cave
nekkid at convention?

In all seriousness, decon protocols and a reasonable ban on contaminated
gear makes sense. A blanket ban on all Texas gear doesn't, folks seem to
forget that state boundaries are political and have little practical
relevance to the spread of something found in a remote and rarely caved in
portion of the state. It's like saying no US gear is welcome in Mexico
(hyperbole, I know).

Before I'm jumped, I appreciate all that everyone is doing to host
convention, protect our bat friends and manage government agencies that
would just as easily close caves as deal with these issues.

I'm just asking for some common sense consideration or more elaboration on
the reasoning.
