Hi Martin -

Different naming conventions ... I name my scraps using the start and end survey station name. I name maps with a passage name or something descriptive. Cross-section scraps are named "CrossSection-<station name>".

There are certainly other naming conventions. Which one is best?? The one you know!

So far I have not needed more than about 5 or 6 submaps for one cave. I often have over a hundred scraps. Using the start and end survey station names helps me find the underlying .th2 and .jpg files quickly.

There is for me one problem: I’m not able to recognize different objects in

I use the names for scraps in the format xxx_yyy.scrap and for maps xxx_yyy.map

Just my 2 cents

Hello everyone - Most of my recent questions to this list have generated
exactly /dev/null for response. I hope this one gets something.

I am trying to build a map where one section of underlying passage is drawn
offset from the main map. I have done this before and it worked. This time
therion is completely ignoring the offset parameters. What am I doing wrong?

The portion that I want to offset does get drawn, and it is drawn below as I
specified. It just does not get drawn offset.

I tried taking the offset out of the list. Therion complained about that. I
tried offsetting the other two partial maps, and that does not work.

The last time I compiled a map with an offset, I was using therion 6.1.8 on
Fedora 38. Now I have 6.2.1+dev on Fedora 41. Did something change between
those two versions that affects how this feature works?

I attached the .th file to this message.

Thanks!
