Your choice of processors and configurations appear to be based more on
vanity than necessity, e.g. what we call the "Tim the Toolman" syndrome.
What use do you plan for your dream laptop that would require the listed
horsepower figures?

As far as HD size is concerned, while I've upgraded all of my machines far
beyond 128GB, I'm beginning to find that as more and more apps are
accessible in the Cloud and no longer need be resident on individual
machines, I no longer need enormous HDs to contain all of my apps, nor need
I attempt to archive all of my files on my laptops now that TB sized
outboard HDs are so cheap. My X301 has been upgraded to a 256GB SSD and I
feel that is all that will be necessary for the near future, I am barely
using half of that capacity at this time.

As to battery life, 1.5 to 2 years is all you can expect out of a Li-Ion
battery nowadays and batteries should be looked at as consumable items, not
an accessory for the life of the laptop. Batteries for the X301 (as well as
other recent Thinkpads) are widely available from reputable sellers as well
as from Lenovo.

Yes, you can upgrade a Windows 32BIT licensed machine to 64BIT on the same
license.
