I was very pleased to finally be able to use the USB tip that came
with my travel adapter a couple of years ago. It's not working well at
all. :(

I've got one side of the Y plugged in to my X220 (tip 20V) and the
other side to USB. My phone was at 10% when I started and it kept
giving me low-battery warnings while plugged in. I was using a generic
USB cable and a mini-to-micro adapter. The phone was recognizing it
was plugged in, showed the charging symbol, then every couple of
minutes gave the 10% warning, which makes me think it was losing its
plugged-in-ness. Eventually it got down to 8%.

Now I've got the stock Samsung USB-to-micro cable plugged in to the L9
tip and it's climbed back up to 9%. Perhaps either the adapter or the
cable were faulty. Guess I'll have to test further (try them with the
Samsung 120V adapter etc.).

That said, I can't find anything that specs the L9's output. Is it
500mA, 1A, 2A, or something else? I know a notebook port (500mA) takes
forever to charge compared to the Samsung wall adapter (2A I think).
So if the Lenovo L9 is 500mA I might as well use the computer, and
better still I should shop for another couple of 2A plug adapters.

Thanks!
