Yes, there is a great alternative -- xxcopy.
Available at http://xxcopy.com, and I think free for personal use,
but is useful enough that buying it makes sense.
I am sure that xxcopy can do what you want. There is a train-
wreck of options there, but somewhere you ought to be able
to do what you want. If you can't find it, let me know.
This is one of the very few programs from Windowsland that
I'd like to see available elsewhere.
