For POP, I am finding that behavior depends on the default view set up with my GAFYD account.
If set to "Basic HTML", the extension reports that there is no mail to download. If set to "Standard", the extension downloads mail but it reports and error because it cannot delete it. This is for GAFYD. Maybe I'll try GMail and see if I get the same results.
