At someone's suggestion, I have abandoned Yahoo as a lost cause. All New Yahoo is set to automatically forward everything to Gmail, and then deletes it. Thunderbird then grabs it all flawlessly from Gmail. Do not need Webmail. I occasionally delete the stuff from Gmail and Thunderbird. I will close my Yahoo account at the end of the year, Of course, the advantage of Thunderbird is the stuff is stored on my HD so In do not have to go online to read old email.
