I'm aware of the fact that you want password protection.
BidiX's TiddlyHome package allows you to create and protect your wikis with 
passwords.

If you want to upgrade the base tw-templates or use templates with other 
themes - I can help you set it up.

TiddlyHome is purely php-based and it doesn't need any database backend...
