1) What are your favorite features of TiddlyWiki – Classic?

Too many to count, but in a nutshell, that I can organize all my data on a
topic to my liking, in my own way, in one file that doesn't require
scrolling endlessly (like Word) or putting my info on their server
(Evernote) but uses hyperlinks and tags and a very fast search to make
things easy to retrieve. And the fact that I can adapt the screen
configuration using CSS rather than be locked into their ways of displaying
things (Evernote).

2.) What plug-ins (if any) do you consider essential for TiddlyWiki –
Classic?

SearchOptionsPlugin, NewHere, ForEachTiddler, RenameTags, QuickEdit, and
now ListFilter

2.5.) What plug-ins (if any) would you rather not be without?

 see above

3.) Can you give a brief example of how you use TiddlyWiki – Classic?

I used it for to do lists, publishing Spanish materials, and note-taking,
which I do a lot of. I created a number of tools for TW: TW for the rest of
us (tutorial), TiddlyVault (list of plugins), and adaptations for to do
lists (TiddlyDu) and note-taking (NoteStorm, braintags). I have recently
gotten to the point where I migrated everything I currently do to TW5 but
am very grateful for classic. It was a hard learning curve to learn TW
classic when I started, but it has been well worth it.

4.) What software (if any) did you try before deciding on TiddlyWiki –
Classic and if possible can you give a brief summery of why you chose to
use TiddlyWiki – Classic over them?

Before and since TW I have used many different ways to try to organize my
notes, and have played with many more. My answer to the first question is
the main response to this question.

5.) What have you been unable to do with TiddlyWiki – Classic that you
really wished you could?

TiddlyWiki classic was too hard for me to use for organizing images
compared to say Evernote. Also, grabbing things from the web was somewhat
of a pain until I created braintags and got a system down. TiddlySnip never
worked for me, but both classic and 5 would benefit greatly from having a
web clipper with a dialogue box to tag, title and add notes to a weblink or
image grabbed from the web. Also, it would be great to be able to take
audio notes in either version of TW, too.

6.) If you could change anything about TiddlyWiki – Classic what would it
be?

See above, though to be honest, I have moved on to TW5.

Thanks for the survey. Blessings to you, Arc
