I think if you really need those and you love tiddlywiki, you will learn 
that katex thing or those railroad diagrams or that TiddlyMap plugin, etc.

Of course, you can do a lot of things with pen + paper that you can't do in 
tiddlywiki, like crazy sketchy stuff, but then there's all that which you 
can do in TiddlyWiki that you can never do using pen and paper.

So, personally, if you want to be sketchy, have a pen and paper at hand and 
use it for sketches only... or use that sketching app your device supports. 
There is literally no need for TiddlyWiki to do it all and the expectation 
that it would or should is perhaps more something that prevents you from 
using it rather than focusing at the task at hand, e.g. "how do I make a 
drawing" ...without asking TiddlyWiki for an answer.
