I've just upgraded an installation with ~50 VNC users from a Centos 5.5 32bit to a Rhel6 64bit. Now users are complaining about lost keys and slow screen updates.
Centos 5.5 server was an IBM x3400 10GB the new one is an IBM x3400 M3 32GB. The network and the clients have been not touched. The clients are PC 300 GL with a minimal Ubuntu Karmic installation enough to start vncviewer at the boot. The steps I've already done: 1 - I've installed the tigervnc client tigervnc-viewer-1.0.90-r4387.i386.deb on the clients. 2 - I've forced to use hextile instead of tight with: vncviewer server:5901 -preferredencoding=hextile -fullcolor -fullscreen This has improved the situation but not enough. Any other suggestion? best regards, LF ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EditLive Enterprise is the world's most technically advanced content authoring tool.
