This happens with any of the interfaces I tried (ncurses, lesstif, gtk and
xaw). (Seem to remember this issue in Windows too, which is why I usually
use Van Basco to play .kar midi files on Windows.) If a syllable from a
lyric is held for a while, seem to repeat the lyric, mailing it look like
it's stuttering or echoing. Does some easier to read with the Xaw patch,
but I'd love to get rid of the repeats on the words so it looks like a
normal sentence.

I pulled the tarball from the link here:

I absolutely hate trying to get on to Sourceforge with cvs. Maybe I just
don't have the right client program to do the job, but it's always
difficult. That was one of the reasons I was hoping someone could update
the tarball in the download section at Sourceforge or add a copy of the
latest. Am sure there are other people who would find it easier to
download the latest version from the download page rather than trying to get
a cvs program working. By the way, my Internet connection is on Windows, so
maybe there's just not a good Windows client for cvs. Maybe it's easier to
use cvs on other platforms?

Thanks for the help. Am glad people are still working on improving
Timidity. It's a great program.

Best wishes.
