I am thankful To Herman for all the work he does, just to mention
this.  Also to you, of course.  But i got the gut feeling you are
now pissing around.

Still, I'm afraid that without some analysis on a more rational
level we won't make much progress on the matter, like is is a bug
or an optional feature, why should we fix it or implement, what
would it take, what would be the benefits, etc...
