I explain vTiger row level security in order to propose if it could be a good approach for openerp.
Each vtiger entity has a field that identifies the "owner" of the record. The owner could be a user or a group. Based on configurable rules, the owner allows different type of access to database records. The queries that vtiger generates to select, add, update and delete records add the selection criteria based on the user that is accessing the record and the configured rules. Hope it helps to understand a model from other application and discuss if it is a good model or not for openerp. Regards.
