@janneman & numerigraphe Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I have not explained the idea properly. Once the en_GB.po file is finished, I think it should be relatively easy to, with a properly crafted script, and drawing from the 'translations' in that file, update the messages in the source code and in all existing translations (which where hitherto based on the old terms) in one go.
This problem has been around for quite some time now, and I think it is a problem of organization. There is now no easy way to draw on the expertise of all the native speakers and domain experts who are using OpenERP and are willing to contribute. Launchpad Translations is easy enough to use and is available now. Putting up en_GB on Launchpad Translation allows us to immediately harness their input. In the mean time the technical experts can figure out how to get the new terms into the source code as cleanly as possible. -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=45975#45975 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman2/listinfo/tinyerp-users
