from about post it seems like ... you can still create your own properitory product and deny the code sharing.
Where did you see that? really? It's exactly the opposite. GPL2,3 ensure that you CANNOT make proprietary products on top of GPL ones. That's not an opinion, it is the license terms. They are clear, and have only one interpretation, if you don't follow them, you are violating the copyright. Said that, I personally am not opposed to partners getting their share of glory for the code THEY write. If Axelor or any partner needs to exploit their own work, that's fine. The only objection is that if every partner creates a closed fork of the "solution"[1], in the long term, the OpenERP as a community will fragment and be harmed. [1] I explicitly don't say "closed fork of OpenERP", because this is not allowed anyway. I say a "solution" because this could be any integration of OpenERP with some closed software. -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=56677#56677 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman2/listinfo/tinyerp-users
