I just found out about this as well, and had to start laughing. :) For a change this is not our fault - and so typical. Just when I say we haven't had internet outages in ages. I apparently jinxed it! :-) We are affected by the underwater SEACOM cable outage which occurred some time yesterday. Our ISP uses SEACOM for international access. Apparently it is a repeater failure somewhere in the top of Africa. Many ISP's in the southern africa region are trying to reroute network traffic via another cables to continue international internet access. We were told to expect some intermittent internet access, while they setup the rerouting of traffic. The only thing that seems to get through at this point is email.
