I thought so as well (that it's called reactivity) when I was investigating this
possibility this when I was our IRB chair; but I failed to find anything. (I
wasn't the one worried about it--other members were FAR more concerned that we
might be instilling depression, etc. in research participants.)

I'd be interested in whatever anyone has on this--please post to list.
