Title: RE: Mind, Body, Spirit in Clinical Psychology & Psychiatry

Christopher, teach what?  Everything that occurs in the name of psychology or only that
which the professor accepts as proper psychology?

Well,I can't speak for Christopher, but I only teach what I accept as proper psychology, and I imagine most of us do as well. You seem to imply that that's a bad thing Louis, but I can't imagine teaching in another way- for example, I don't discuss parapsychology, which a subset of people would deem to be proper psychology.

I would also guess that you do the same- for example, I just re-read Borges' brilliant short story 'Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius', which is an amazing history of a fictional planet. It's certainly history, Louis- do you teach it? I'll bet you don't, because you don't consider it to be proper history. All good teachers have to be good editors, knowing what to teach and what not to teach.
