Does anyone have any helpful advise or opinion for me regarding distance
learning. I am presetly teaching psychology (starting my fourth year
full time) and though I feel secure in my position, am wanting to pursue
a Ph.D. Life circumstances did not allow doctoral work earlier in life,
and now, with growing children, I find it unacceptable to relocate in
order to pursue an advanced degree. I have received information from
Walden University and Capella University, both accredited by North
Central.. There is also the Fielding Institute.
Do you have opinions on these institutions? I am not interested in
teaching in a large university system. Do such degrees have credibility
in the psychology community? Would smaller liberal arts colleges
consider a person with a doctorate from these institutions? Has anyone
pursued licensing with these degrees and did you have any problems?
Your input may be useful.

Thanks.
