Personally, I currently have an APC SmartUPS 1250VA protecting various
things, include DLP, TiVoHD + Expander, cable boxes (inc. VoIP box and
cordless phone).

While it has held up TV and TiVo during a brief power outage, the intent
was more to have it filter out the dropouts. Plus, I can't hear
anything during a power outage (except the UPSs beeping), because my
receiver aren't on the UPS. I do have a Tripplite Power Conditioner for
the components that aren't on the UPS.

What can get really annoying is listening to the relays click for every
split second power flicker....especially when it happens a lot during a
short window.

In fact, now I'm thinking I should just get another one for my other
TiVo HD + Expander and stuff.
