Hi Tom I had Comcast come out to look at but they couldn't find anything wrong. I then posted to the list on Nov 10th on what I thought was a different problem. The Tivo was freezing and rebooting. I didn't get any suggestions from people on that but on some Tivo Forums they suggest it is a symptom of a hard drive failing and that the pixelation that I was seeing earlier on might have been due to the hard drive failing as well.
I haven't had a chance to call Tivo and troubleshoot the problem with them. I'm past the 90 day warranty but still in the 1 year parts warranty so I'm assuming they will send a new drive out which I will have to install. It's going to be a pain because I have a lot of recorded shows and a lot of automatic recordings in Season Pass that I will have to recreate. One additional complication for me is that I bought the DVR expander as well so I'm not sure which hard drive is failing - the one in the Tivo HD or in the DVR expander.
