It took me a while to realize that confirm messages weren't being sent out from my TMDA installation on my new ISP. Turns out the ISP limits methods of sending mail, because they are worried about spammers; when I left TMDA's OUTGOINGMAIL on "smtp", it didn't work, but when I changed it to "sendmail", things worked fine.
The problem is that when confirm messages failed to be sent, TMDA didn't generate any notices to that effect; I checked LOGFILE_DEBUG and saw nothing in there. It's possible that it just didn't know that sending the mail had failed, but I did get an error message when I tried to use TMDA to send tagged outgoing mail, which implies to me that it did get an error message and wasn't saving it. Anyways, not a big deal for me; things work now. But I thought I'd mention it. j --- "Users complain that they receive too much spam, while spammers protest messages are legal." -InfoWorld "You do not have to do everything disagreeable that you have a right to do." -Judith Martin (Miss Manners) _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
